Extreme Diet Coke & Mentos Experiments II - The Domino Effect

The guys from EepyBird are back, with 251 bottles of Diet Coke and over 1,500 Mentos mints. In Experiment #137, they did a mint-powered version of the Bellagio fountains. This time, it's one giant Coke & Mentos chain reaction that has to be seen to be believed.

HELLLO FROM JAPAN

hello.

greetings from the land of the funny chineseliked characters. for some weird reason my mum was able to get the lobby staff to give me internet access in some weird hotel lobby so im sitting at the manager's desk surfing the net. hahaha. maybe i should go load some lost season 3.

anyway i like sat in a plane for super long today. went to tokyo narita like 7 hours flight then transfered to osaka from narita another 1 hour. and spent like 5 other hours waiting. OK i basically did nothing today except eat ramen, gazoya and some other funny stuff that tastes really really weird.

i almost got drunk on the plane. i ordered like one mini bottle (1 cup full) of white wine and beer and duno wad hahaa. damn funny. my parents were like ?!#@%@#$@$. You know its super funny seeing my mum trying to speak mixed mandarin and english to some jap woman who ovbiously doesnt understand her and seeing the jap woman replying back in japanese to an equally confused mum.

wah i can seriously stay here the whole night and have fun. maybe i should just not go out in the day and stay at the hotel lobby. hahhaaa. ok byebye for now update tomorrow with pictures.

good luck bio S and econs S people. haha.

making out

YESSSS. i finally remembered what i wanted to post about

http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/viewPost335.aspx (warning: not for the faint hearted)

for those of you who havent seen it yet... please look very very very closely at the guy. i think all of us will recognise him.

its quite amazing right? never thought that HE would be someone that has so much balls. hes like smashing all the stereotypes of a buaya. i guess you can never judge a book by its cover.

Then again, courage is one thing, being smart enough to use it properly is another. if he wants to make out at least dont do it in public place lor. Not least in the MRT, where everyone will have nothing to do and are feeling bored and looking around. but the worse thing is if it gets printed in the Sunday Times STOMP section...

but its not like i am an expert in this area. i will consult gurus like zeng before commentating further.

Almost over...

come on guys!! its almost over.... hope you guys doing well.

wow my fingers are still hurting from the econs paper 2 just now. 13 sides in 1.5 hours. and a small blister is forming on my thumb. T.T (how to play WOW liddat???) but im not really complaining, coz its like the most i have EVER written in 2 years, and i was quite pleased with the way my arguments went, despite me feeling abit drowsy. oh well, if my econs doesnt make it at least i know i wont have regrets.

but the timetable is really like shit for PCME pple. 7 papers in 3 days. 6 FREAKING HOURS TODAY!!! at the end of econs paper 2 today, (the last of the 7) i was almost collapsing liao lah. Its damn bad for pple like me who like to do things more slowly. =(. hmmm... there are pros though, like being able to relax earlier... sigh, its all relative i guess.

actually felt like blogging about something else, but i cant seem to remember what. haha. and i cant seem to type in logical sentences also. too much writing today already.

anyways good luck for chem mcq!!

A levels easier?... dunno, but u got to love korean dramas!!

Phew, finally a much needed break from the A levels. Hope you guys did/are doing well for the As....

Anyways, have you guys noticed that the A levels are getting much harder than previous years? The maths paper 1 was a warning already, then came chem paper 3, and maths paper 2. I mean, they aren't undoable lah, but can tell that they are harder than previous years. So i was thinking, how come we so suay.... Then i suddenly remembered an article that i read in The Economist at around March, which i went to dig up:

(Note: i lost the password that they gave me for the online subscription, so i cant copy and paste the article here. and im too lazy to type it out =P, so i ll just put a few abstracts in here)

"Shiny-eyed 18 year olds clutching paper proof of three top grades will no doubt appear on newspapers' front pages next week, when A level results are published. But they are unlikely to feel quite as jubilant as they would have done a decade ago. Every summer A-level results are met with scornful claims that the exams have grown easier. ... around a quarter of A-level entries are still likely to score an A...

Whether A level exams are really getting easier or whether, as the government says, the higher marks are down to improved teaching is hard to judge. Changing syllabuses and subject make it difficult to track standards over time. But even if they are not easier - unlikely as it seems - A levels are certainly too easy. Top universities with far more applicants than places say they cannot distinguish between the brilliant and the bright: all have anodyne [bland] batches of A grades....

... an officially-commissioned inquiry found in 2004 that A levels lacked breadth and challenge... The government rejected the idea [of scrapping the A levels], but recognised that A levels need to be reformed. It is looking at setting more probing questions and perhaps adding an A* grade, as at GCSES.

... And recently the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service said that the cleverest A-level students seemed less qualified than equally bright IB pupils"

Bleh, maybe they are responding to criticism like this and we have to bear the brunt of it. T.T. Looks like we're in for a rough ride next week. I think all the crap about A levels being easier than prelims is just that, crap.

On to more happy stuff, theres this korean drama on channel u 7 oclock that EVERYONE MUST WATCH!!!! its called goong, ye man wang fei, and its the best korean drama ever!!. (actually i dun know about that coz this is my first korean drama =X. But it is seriously really nice!). And theres this damn damn damn nice song that comes on whenever a love scene is played:

The actress is damn cute right??!?!?! haha. the chorus goes something like:

"sarang een gah yo geu dae nah wah gaht dah myuhn shee jahk een gah yo
mahm ee jah koo geu dael sarang hahn dae yo
ohn seh sang ee deud doh rohk soh ree chee neh yo
wae ee jeh yah deul lee jyoh~ OOH~
suh rohl mahn nah gee wee hae ee jeh yah sarang chah jaht dah goh"

Translation:

"Is this love? Do you feel the same?
My heart keeps telling me that I’m in love with you.
My heart is shouting to the world that I’m in love with you.
Why have I only heard it now?
The voice keeps telling me that I have finally found love."

wahhh so nice... okay im off bye~~
